Once you have chosen a private yacht on the Bosphorus, how long should you book? Osmanli Travel’s published minimum is one hour. The right duration also depends on what your group wants from the cruise, the time available to reach the marina and your budget. Ask for a route that fits the duration before making the booking.
When should you discuss a one-hour cruise?
A one-hour request may suit a group allocating a limited part of the day to private time on the water, rather than trying to cover a long sightseeing list. Explain your priority—enjoying the views or taking group photographs, for example—and ask what can be arranged within that time from the available boarding point.
Booking an hour does not mean passing every landmark you have seen in Bosphorus photographs. Duration alone is not an itinerary. The agreed boarding point, route and operating conditions determine what can be done; do not rely on stops that are absent from your agreement.
What should you compare with a two-hour option?
If you want to devote more time to the cruise, request a two-hour proposal and compare its suggested route and total cost with the one-hour option. Additional time can support a less abbreviated outing, but it does not guarantee a particular bridge, a more distant landmark or a specific stop.
A useful question is: “What route can you offer for one hour, and what would change with two hours from the same boarding point?” This gives you two concrete proposals to compare, instead of assuming that twice the time means twice the sights.
Compare the group total, not a per-person ticket
The private Bosphorus yacht service is priced per yacht per hour, not per passenger. Check the current published rate, then request the total for your chosen duration with extras listed separately. Adding guests within the confirmed capacity does not turn the offer into individual tickets.
The published capacity is up to 12 guests, including children. Give the team the full headcount and children’s ages before selecting the yacht. A free-child policy for per-person tours does not increase yacht capacity or establish a discount on the private rental.
Confirm what the timing and agreement cover
- The requested cruise duration and departure time confirmed by the team.
- The boarding point, agreed endpoint and route possible within the selected duration.
- Your journey to the marina, including whether you need a separately arranged transfer.
- The full guest count, requested extras and final total.
The service page includes yacht rental for the confirmed duration, water and Turkish tea. Food, decorations, special occasions and transfers to the marina are not automatically included. If one of these matters to your decision, obtain confirmation and a separate quote before relying on it.
Leave room around your next appointment
Tell the team if you have a restaurant reservation or another appointment after the cruise. Keep the time on the water separate from getting to and leaving the marina, and avoid relying on a fixed road journey time. You can request a preferred time of day without assuming availability or guaranteed weather and views.
Weather and operating conditions may affect arrangements. Ask how a change to the route or timing would be handled, and review the cancellation and amendment terms for your booking before confirming.
Send a request that makes the options comparable
Prepare your date, adult and child numbers, children’s ages, preferred duration, when you can reach the marina and any extras. You can ask the team to compare one and two hours without treating the enquiry as two confirmed bookings. Once you have agreed, review the duration, boarding point, inclusions and total together.
